It gets better and better for the Club of the Year !
West Heaton has just been voted Lancashire Lawn Tennis Association Club of the Year ! This on top of our success in securing £34,000 of National Lottery funding to improve floodlights on two upper courts and to install lights on the only unlit court.
Well done to everyone involved who proved to the LTA that we were deserving winners !
Membership fees down or frozen !
Bowling fees have been significantly reduced from May 2013, other fees are frozen and we have removed the lower age limit to be a member (there is no upper age limit !)
Genuinely a club for all ages and abilities !!
Welcome to the website of West Heaton Bowling,Tennis and Squash Club.
We have a superb range of sporting and social facilities at our picturesque site at Prince’s Road in Heaton Moor, near Tithe Barn School.
With a bowling green, six tennis courts, two squash courts, a comfortable bar lounge and a function room (which can be hired) to seat 80 people we hope there is something for most people.
We are very proud of our heritage. The Club began life, way back in 1873, as a Bowling and Croquet Club and we now offer Bowling, Tennis and Squash playing and social facilities. You can read more of our history on the page on this website.
New members are welcome – including beginners, park players or if you’ve had a break from your game – so please feel free to come and visit us. You may even just want to enjoy our comfortable bar and its relaxed friendly atmosphere.
If you would like to find out more, perhaps come down and have a tour of the facilities, then why not contact the club by sending the simple form here to our New Membership Secretary.
In addition to the first class sports facilities we also have a comfortable bar lounge
with satellite TV, a pool table, table tennis and darts plus a spacious function room ideal for birthday parties, Christenings or other private or club events, with comfortable seating for 80-100 people.
Our aim is to provide an atmosphere whereby amateur sport can flourish by catering for all ages, and standards and we are very much a family club with an active calendar.
